Acceptable Use Policy
Attune is a community for adults seeking genuine friendship and romantic connection. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes what you may and may not do on Attune. By using Attune, you agree to follow this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
Age requirement
Attune is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, use the service, or appear in any profile, photo, message, or other content. You may not misrepresent your age, use another person's account, or create an account on behalf of anyone under 18. We may request age verification and will remove accounts that do not meet this requirement.
Illegal activity
You may not use Attune to plan, promote, or engage in any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law. This includes, without limitation, fraud, identity theft, stalking, harassment, threats of violence, theft, money laundering, and the sale or distribution of illegal goods or services. We cooperate with law enforcement when required or when we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm.
Prohibited content and behavior
The following are strictly prohibited on Attune:
- Sexually explicit profile content. Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit images, videos, audio, or text in profiles, prompts, messages, or other public or private areas of the platform.
- Child sexual exploitation or abuse (CSEA). Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors; any attempt to contact, groom, or solicit minors; or any possession or distribution of child sexual abuse material. We report apparent CSEA to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities.
- Sexual violence. Content that depicts, glorifies, promotes, or threatens sexual assault, rape, or other non-consensual sexual acts.
- Non-consensual content. Sharing intimate images, recordings, or information about another person without their explicit consent (“revenge porn”), or impersonating another person to deceive users.
- Human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Using Attune to recruit, advertise, transport, harbor, or facilitate prostitution, escort services, sugar arrangements intended to exploit vulnerable users, or any form of human or sex trafficking.
- Scams and fraud. Deceptive schemes intended to defraud Attune users, including romance scams, phishing, requests for money or financial information under false pretenses, investment fraud, and promotion of third-party services designed to steal from users.
- Harassment and hate. Targeted abuse, bullying, slurs, or discrimination based on protected characteristics.
- Spam and manipulation. Bulk messaging, fake profiles, bot activity, or attempts to manipulate matching or messaging systems.
Reporting and enforcement
Use in-app block and report tools when you encounter violations. We review reports and may remove content, warn users, suspend or permanently ban accounts, and preserve information for legal requests. Serious violations — especially involving minors, trafficking, or credible threats — may be reported to law enforcement.
